Welcome to 565 West End Avenue
Located in the Riverside-West End Avenue Historic District, 565 West End Avenue is an excellent example of an Art Deco apartment building. The building’s façade is characterized by corner casement windows, stepped-back street walls, and horizontal banding in the brickwork, all typical characteristics of the Art Deco style. The building was the last high-rise to be built on the Avenue pre-World War II and one of the tallest. It combines pre-war detail with the technological developments that resulted in the canyons of glass now lining mid-town. Built as a rental, in 1966 the building became one of the first cooperatives on West End Avenue. 565 West End Avenue is considered to be one of the most unique and attractive buildings on the Upper West Side. We welcome residents, neighbors and other visitors to our community.
